DESCRIPTION:Virtual link will be confirmed soon.\n\nThe Israel Innovation
Authority (IIA) supports industry‑led first industrial deployment
projects that enable Israeli companies to validate and adapt existing
academic IP from U.S. universities and research institutions\, creating a
structured pathway toward IP licensing and downstream
commercialization.\n\nThe program targets mature academic technologies
that have been technically validated but not yet adopted by industry\,
focusing on industrial feasibility\, performance benchmarking\, and
application readiness.\n\nMany university inventions stall at TRL 4–5
due to lack of industrial proof points. Our program:\n\nDe‑risks
academic IP through company‑led first deploymentStrengthens licensing
readiness with real‑world performance dataProvides a funded alternative
to early spinout formationPreserves university IP ownership and
  publication rights\n\nProgram Snapshot:\n\nObjective: First industrial
deployment of existing academic IPWho Applies: Israeli company (project
lead)Role of U.S. University: Research & validation partner
(subcontracted)Technology Stage: TRL 4–5Project Duration: Up to 36
months\n\nIndustry Demand Signals:\n\nRecent IIA program activity shows
that industry‑driven submissions and applied research demand in 2025
are concentrated in:\n\nHealth\, Pharma & Medical Devices –
  ~26%Artificial Intelligence (applied & embedded) – ~12%AgriFood
  Technologies – ~9–10%Semiconductors\, Electronics & Sensors –
~15% - expected expanding demand in 2026\n\nThese sectors represent
areas with immediate pull from Israeli industry for academic IP suitable
for first deployment and licensing.2026 Timeline:\n\nCall opens: June
  2026Webinar: 8 July 2026 at 9AM ESTApplication deadline: 24 August
2026Decisions: November 2026\n\nAs part of the webinar\, participants
will break into three focused rooms in the following domains that will be
represented by U.S. and European TTOs and researchers:\n\nSensorsMedical
DevicesElectronics & Semiconductors\n\nThese sessions will provide TTOs
and researchers with an opportunity to engage directly with Israeli
companies\, learn about technologies available for IP licensing\, and
better understand the process of working with your TTO.\n\nThe selected
domains reflect areas of strong industry demand\, and the sessions are
designed to facilitate connections between Israeli companies\, TTOs\, and
researchers\, with a view toward potential collaboration and future IP
licensing.\n\nEach breakout room will be moderated by a representative
from the Israel Innovation Authority\, who will guide the discussions
between Israeli companies and participating researchers.
